DJay Diamond
DJ Diamond has been involved in music for 40 years.
He is a music teacher, band leader, music agent and an inventor. He started music at school playing the clarinet, violin and steel pans. He is also a drummer and pianist percussionist.
He has performed in 25 countries worldwide as a professional steel pannist and has performed with the great Ronnie Laws, Wynton Marsalis and Clark Terry. In the Steel Pan industry, DJay Diamond has played with the legendary Boogsie Sharpe, Rudy Smith and grew up with Junior Gill. He has also put together musical projects and performed in the Portobello Jazz Project.
In addition, DJ Diamond started djaying in 2017.
DJay Diamond’s first instrument is the steel pan which he says has helped him to appreciate music as a communication device and a healer. In his shows, he will be inviting musicians, singers, speakers and thinkers to the table to discuss all of the above, including any books they have written: EDU-tainment top music and educational conversation.
